Actor Matt Raimo has the talent and body for the role of Wolverine in the next installment of the popular Marvel series.
Hollywood, CA - Hugh Jackman, the actor who achieved international fame for his portrayal of the bad-boy superhero “Wolverine,” announced his retirement from the role after 15 years and seven films. Discussions about which actor is best suited for the role of Wolverine are already taking place, and an up and coming actor Matt Raimo has caught the eye of “Wolverine” fans. He is a dead ringer of a young Hugh Jackman with the talent and body to match.
Matt Raimo is from New York where he first attracted Hollywood’s attention in his role on the television show Blue Bloods. Which he followed up with roles on Agent Carter and ABC’s Recovery Road. He also has three movies already in the works this year. Raimo moved to Los Angeles just over a year ago after five years of theater training in NYC to pursue his career in film.
The X-Men franchise has been one of the most successful film series to date bringing in more than $3 Billion at the global box office. Future Wolverine films will certainly be filled with the same action, stunts and heroic looking bodies that the film franchise is famous for. Actor Matt Raimo has all of the qualifications for filling the boots of Logan in the next X-Men movie.

Looks: No matter how tough the character of Wolverine is, there is always an undercurrent of animalistic, rugged sexuality. Matt Raimo has the looks for the part. He did modeling campaigns for Ralph Lauren, Nautica, Buffalo Jeans and acted along with Penelope Cruz in her campaign for Lancome’s “Trésor”. His six-pack abs and chiseled features are a perfect fit for the crime-fighting hero.
Physicality: The role of Wolverine must be filled by an actor who has the body and stamina for the demanding part of a super hero. Before his modeling and acting career, Raimo was a professional baseball player and kept his body in top physical shape while building a work ethic that drives his acting career now. Endurance and the ability to perform carefully choreographed stunt work will be an important part of playing the role of Logan.
Acting: Playing a believable super hero is one of the most complex roles an actor can take in Hollywood. Today's audiences expect actors who portray the likes of Thor, Ironman and Wolverine to have depth, mystery and an ability to create palpable excitement and tension within an action scene. Matt Raimo was awarded the nomination for "Male Action Performer of the Year" by the Action on Film Festival of 2015 for his stellar performances as an action hero.
For Wolverine 3, reports are that the upcoming film's storyline is expected to be closer to the comic book "Old Man Logan." This will see Hugh Jackman as an older version of the character battling against a world under the control of super villains during a global crisis. But for the generation of Wolverine fans who have grown to love the young, rebellious, stronger version of Logan, Matt Raimo could be the one actor slashing and destroying everything in his way.
